Soy Lecithin has been recommended by midwives to help prevent clogged milk ducts.
Note: I have used it myself as a prevention and did not get mastitis (will never know if it was lecithin or not, but I was not willing to take the risk nor stop taking it to find out). I recommend it to my patients once they have had their babies (as well as discussing it with their midwife/OB and pharmacist).
